Research led by romana.salis@lnu.se focuses on identifying which trees within oak stands produce pollen during specific periods. The study utilizes ethanol samples collected from Malaise traps deployed in these stands to capture insects. These samples, collected between 2022 and 2024 across different months, are filtered, and the extracted material is analyzed using eDNA techniques to identify the trees in bloom at the time of collection.
